Hey, I'm Mohammed Yassine — but everyone calls me Hami. When COVID hit, the world didn't just slow down for my dev career. It hit everything. I found myself without work, no clear direction, just a lot of free time and a need to figure things out. That's when a close friend of mine — who was already working at a woodworking company — reached out and asked if I wanted to join him.

It was a small, specialized company focused on 'Sur Mesure' — fully custom-made furniture and interiors. Walk-in closets, kitchens, pharmacy fittings, retail displays, reception desks — everything built from scratch, tailored to the exact millimeter for each client. I had zero experience in the field, but I said yes. And honestly? It was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I started from nothing. I didn't know what a cut list was, didn't understand material thickness, had never heard of Polyboard. But I threw myself into it the same way I threw myself into Python — with obsessive curiosity. I learned Polyboard inside and out — parametric furniture design, automatic hardware placement, material cost reports, 3D rendering. It became second nature.

Then came CorelDRAW, ArtCAM, Aspire for CNC carving, and the machines themselves. I don't just make things that look good in 3D — I make things that can actually be built, assembled, and installed without headaches. Every design I deliver comes with clean cut lists, hardware specs, and files ready for production.

My coding journey started in my early twenties, and honestly, it was messy at first. I bounced around between C, C++, C#, and even gave JavaScript a fair shot. Nothing really stuck. Then one day, I stumbled into Python. And I don't know how to explain it other than — it just made sense. The syntax, the logic, the way you could go from idea to working code in the same afternoon.

After a while, I started pushing further. Flask, Django, web apps, desktop tools. And then I discovered web scraping and automation — and that was the moment everything changed for me. The idea that I could write a script that goes out, collects data, processes it, and delivers it somewhere automatically? That blew my mind.

When COVID hit, I went all in on bots and scraping. Telegram bots, Discord bots, data pipelines, scheduled automations — I built them obsessively. I learned how anti-bot systems work just so I could figure out how to get past them.

And then AI came into the picture — and it was like strapping a rocket to everything I'd already built. What used to take me days now takes hours. What used to take hours now takes minutes. It's not about replacing the thinking — it's about amplifying it. AI didn't change what I do. It just made me dangerously fast at doing it.
